You Learn With every Good Bye

An Email from Metro For Babaymaram group.................
What’s one of the most painful things anyone can go through? Saying… goodbye. Just that one phrase. That one statement. It’s just a word. The word isn’t hard to say… it’s everything else attached to it. Memories and moments.

"What we call the beginning is often the end. And to make an end is to make a beginning. The end is where we start from." - T.S. Eliot

People fear goodbyes, because it means the end of something. Putting the period at the end of the sentence. But, why if a goodbye… was just a goodbye? Who says they have to hurt so much? Who says they have to be so bad?

"There’s a trick to the “graceful exit.” It begins with the vision to recognize when a job, a life stage, or a relationship is over — and let it go. It means leaving what’s over without denying its validity or its past importance to our lives. It involves a sense of future, a belief that every exit line is an entry, that we are moving up, rather than out."

Goodbyes can be a good thing, a beautiful thing. I think with every goodbye we experience, we learn things about yourself and who we are. Maybe we realize how important people are to us while they’re still around.

Goodbyes hurt but maybe they’re for the best, because without them we wouldn’t realize the true impact people have on our lives.
So, it’s good to say goodbye and it’s good to miss people if for the only reason to remind us that we are fragile.
